KTA’s First Cashless Ramp is Open

A significant milestone has been made in our customer-driven modernization efforts. KTA opened its first cashless exit ramp in east Wichita, connecting southbound Turnpike drivers to westbound Kellogg/US-54/400. As a K-TAG customer, you’re all set to use the new exit ramp.

This new cashless exit sets the stage for KTA to convert to a cashless system, which was one of the goals in the DRIVING CHANGE 2025 strategic plan announced last year.

Watch the announcement video of the new cashless ramp’s opening and learn how the new ramp works.

Construction Report

It may be the winter break for many of our roadway projects, but progress is still happening. Check out this month’s construction report.

K-TAG Tip of the Month: License Plates

It’s important to add your license plate to your K-TAG account. Your license plate information will serve as a backup in the rare event your valid K-TAG does not read. You will soon receive emails if you do not have a license plate to your active K-TAG(s). If you receive any of these emails, check to make sure all active K-TAGs on your account have license plates linked to them. You may have a forgotten or unused K-TAG on your account. Easily manage your account online at www.myktag.com/login.

Work Zone Awareness Week Design Contest

Our annual Work Zone Awareness Week design contest is OPEN! This contest is for Kansas students in grades 8-12, and can be done virtually. Teachers, it’s a great option to incorporate in the classroom, and parents, it’s a great at-home project. Full rules and details are available at www.ksturnpike.com/contests.

Employment Openings

We’re looking to fill several positions along our roadway, and we’re now accepting applications for the College Student Summer Employment Program in our maintenance departments. This program is an excellent way for college students to work full-time during the summer season.
