Why license plates are important

From standard to personalized to organizational license plates, it’s important to add your vehicle’s license plate to your account. But why?

• It allows us to identify you in case your K-TAG doesn’t read.
• It allows you to be identified as a K-TAG customer and prevent violations.
• It helps us prepare for becoming compatible with other states’ tolling systems.
• It is required by the K-TAG User Agreement.

Need some help? Watch our instructional video on how to add your license plate to your account.

July Construction Report

Projects along the Turnpike made good progress this past month. A few highlights include bridge girders being placed and pavement resurfaced. Check out what else is in the works in our monthly construction report.

Summer Travel Safety

Overheating vehicles and flat tires are the most common incidents that can occur while on the road in the summer. If you experience any kind of roadside emergency while traveling on the Turnpike, call *KTA for the State Farm Safety Assist Program, or other assistance.
